Administrative Assistant I

Responsibilities:

Office Coordination:

  • Provide general administrative support, including handling phone calls, managing calendars, and responding to emails.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members.

Document Management:

  • Create, edit, and proofread various documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems.

Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact between team members, clients, and external partners.
  • Draft and distribute internal and external communications.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:

  • Accurately input and maintain databases, ensuring information is up-to-date.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.

Event Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and organizing company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Coordinate logistics, including catering, venue arrangements, and materials preparation.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline communication and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

  • While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, we believe that skills, experience, and a strong work ethic are equally important. Candidates with a proven track record in administrative work are encouraged to apply, regardless of educational background.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in administrative support roles.

Location:
This is an onsite position at TEK School Virginia, 5350 Shawnee Rd Suite 250, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is in the range of $11-$13 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
